Babita Gupta, Ph.D.

Babita Gupta is a Professor of Information Systems and the
Director of AACSB Accreditation in the College of Business at
California State University Monterey Bay.
She teaches courses in information technology innovation, information
technology strategies, business intelligence & analytics, database
management, and computer information systems. Her research interests are
in the areas of technology adoption, online security and privacy,
business intelligence strategies, and the role of culture in IT. She has
published in journals such as the Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), Journal of Electronic Commerce Research (JECR), the Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS), the Communications of the ACM (CACM), the Journal of Industrial Management and Data System, the Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Journal of Information Technology Cases and Applications, and the Journal of Computing and Information Technology.
She is currently serving as the Program Chair in 2013-14 for the
Special Interest Group on Decision Support, Knowledge and Data
Management Systems (SIGDSS) for the Association for information Systems
(AIS). She also served as a board member of the California Coastal Rural
