Meet Our 2015 Winners!
It was another successful PARTNERS Conference in Anaheim filled with exciting opportunities for academic attendees.
Congratulations to all of the TUN student finalists. They did a tremendous job in their formal presentations and with their posters, sharing their work with over 4000 attendees.
In our second year of student competitions, we are excited to announce our winners. For the TUN 2015 Business Analytics Competition, where the finalists presented their data and analytics projects, these were three awards were presented:
Business Analytics Competition
Overall Winner - “Hotel Occupancy Rates vs. Online Reviews” - Oklahoma State University
Best Use of Analytics and Visualization Tools - “Sentiment Analysis on Twitter Data” - California State University, Fullerton
People’s Choice - Best Presentation - “Visualization as a Tool in Analysis of Employment-Status Data” - Loyola University Chicago
New in 2015 and tying to Teradata’s focus on data philanthropy, the TUN 2015 Data Challenge was announced. In this challenge, all student teams were provided a data set by Cultural Data Project (CDP), a not-for-profit organization that enables arts and cultural organizations to make informed decision making through their capture and reporting of operational and financial data. For the inaugural TUN Data Challenge, these were three awards were presented:

Overall Winner - National Institute of Development Administration - Bangkok (team 2)
Most Value to Cultural Data Project - Carnegie Mellon University
People’s Choice - Best Presentation - Loyola University Chicago
