Scott Gnau
Teradata
Scott Gnau is Vice President & General Manager, Research and Development,
for Teradata. He is responsible for all research, development, and sales support
activities related to Teradata warehouse solutions. Scott's organization
includes more than 1,000 employees in San Diego, Los Angeles, Raleigh, Toronto,
and other locations overseas.
Previously, Scott was vice president of product strategy and portfolio
management for Teradata, with the task of driving Teradata's continued
investments in technology. Scott and his team worked with customers, prospects,
industry analysts, and academia to understand the market and continue refinement
of Teradata's technology vision to meet the unique needs of the world's leading
active data warehouse customers.
Scott has spent his career delivering enterprise analytics solutions to the
top global 3,000 companies. Prior to joining Teradata 1995, Scott owned his own
company, Data Integration and Architecture. In 1989, Scott oversaw the
development of the company's first customer relationship management analytical
solution.
Scott earned a bachelor's in electrical engineering from Drexel University in
Philadelphia with a specialization in computer engineering and design.
